I play 5-6x per week. 6'4" 205 lbs. SPO Player 1.5 are easily one of my favorite shoes I've worn in the last few years. Love the improvements over the Player 1s. I will be using 1.5s regularly in my shoe rotation because I'm so confident the shoes will do exactly what I need them to do. Traction is next level....super-elite. Insanely lightweight. Explosive 2.0 drop-in is the best SPO has ever made (I own the Support, Individual, Quick 2.0, and a couple more so I have literally tried every combination possible). No pressure points when lacing these up thanks to the new tongue and upgraded laces. Compared to Kobe IXs, the Player 1.5 is lighter, with better court feel, better lockdown, and better traction. Keep up the great work SPO!
I bought a pair of Play 1.5 a couple of days ago love the way the look wore them 2x times & got a blister from the glitter material that build in on the heel cushion the second day of playing in them. Was very disappointing! Because I wear lots of Kobe’s & never had a problem. Contacted them and they just said sorry. I am really upset that they don’t accept my return and warranty on their product which make me injury on my foot. I should sue them for the product cause my feet injury. That glitter part on shoes make out of sandpaper feel even though I wear them with different socks. Never buy from them because they don’t guarantee their product then who else would pay for $200
Do not send out scuffed or damaged product to customers then make them have to pay to send it back to have to buy a non damaged or scuffed up pair of shoes. You guys sure don't advertise them on the website like that scuffed and damaged right. Think I'll stick with nike or foot Locker, at least you don't have to pay for return shipping if something arrives damaged. I guess serious player only can afford to lose customers.
Great performer with great quality and I also loved their Player 1 plus as well. However, idk what it is but my shoe boxes I ordered from spo always had issues. They were kind enough to accommodate me with that but as a collector wish they had better box quality.
You gotta choose a better shipment transport, they deatroyed the box

Love the new fit and the new explosive midsole. Compared to the previous version, it doesn’t hurt my pinky toe even if i played for prolonged periods. But i still do love the player 1 plus. But this is a great improvement. So lightweight and makes you feel quick
For a super low to the ground shoe the lock down is amazing! Heel slippage is my worst enemy and there is virtually none! Traction is elite and they are really light on foot. Pretty hyped on these, already scoping another pair lol

Player 1.5 is my favorite shoe. I’ve had jones fracture surgery so the screw in my foot causes some shoes to fit weird but SPOs are perfect!
My first pair of SPO and I really love them. I’m a wide footer and despite the fact that they changed the foot shape of this to accommodate wider feet, I would still recommend going up half a size (I went up to US 11) as they are a tad bit short in length even when sizing up. The materials and ventilation are great on these and the explosive 2.0 is the best drop in midsole ever in terms of support and how lightweight it is. My only cons were: I wish the fore foot in the midsole had a little more cushion, the outsole does collect dust, the traction is great but on lateral movements, I have slipped out. Lastly I don’t know if it’s because I had to size up but wish it had a little torsional support as I rolled my ankle once in those so far. My all time favorite shoe is the Kobe AD NXT 360 and this is the closest thing to that shoe. I wish I got to try their other shoes with the SPS outsole because everyone says it has elite traction. I think these have a rubber outsole. Despite this, I would still highly recommend.
I have the WOW12, KT10, Lebron 21 and this shoe absolutely blows them outta the water in every single aspect of a basketball shoe. Best traction, comfort, fit, stability, durability, etc. literally the best shoe I've ever owned, if you’re conflicted about buying one just do it cuz u wont regret it.

Shoe is amazing but the fit is terrible. I can wear between 8.5 and 9 and the 9's don't fit. I can't believe I'd have to order a 9.5 for SPO.
The shoes didn’t fit my son but the return process is difficult. I can’t even find my email correspondence because it doesn’t come up under the company name. No part of this transaction has been easy.
I'm normally a US Men's 11-11.5 foot. I ordered a 12 because the SPO plus was slightly small at a size 11. The new 1.5 cat tonged heel, completely ripped open my heal which is now infected and haven't been able to wear a pair of shoes for 2 weeks. I am very unhappy and also they wont even refund on the complete mess-up on the sizing true fit.
I loved the shoes for the first hour of playing. Everything was perfect and I felt like they would soon be my new favorite hoop shoes. But then the cats tongue heel started digging into my skin to the point where it gave me blisters and cuts. I’ve tried to double sock but I still can’t get past the sharp material. Almost unwearable sadly☹️

Fit is true to size for normal shaped feet. Go with your same Kobe 6 shoe size. 1.5's are unbelievably comfortable due to the drop in mid sole and no break in time is required!
Great shoe I’d imagine. I tried to return and reached out to SPO but never seemed to get in touch with them so they are sitting in my closet. They were too small but I can’t figure out how to return them.
Didn't even need to break them in. Im really blown away by the performance of this shoe. I need more.
best dhoe ever
Its really snug fit(TTS) for me because of my wide feet, could have just went half size up. Other than that everything is great.
Very good on court feel. However after my first wear blisters did show up on my ankle due to the rough texture of the ankle support. But overall they are a top basketball shoe and definitely will be better than the 1s in long run as the toe box is a lot nicer on your toes.
Great all around
Honestly this is my favorite shoes yet. I did end up changing the insole because the explosive 2.0 isn't my favorite. Other than that, the fit is really good and the traction is elite. Even if the court is really dusty the shoes still bite so hard. I really recommend these shoes. Much better than Way of Wades!
Best shoe on the market
The materials around the ankle area needa more cushioning, I find that my foot has heel slippage no matter the way I tie it up and because of such a lack of cushion i have had severe blisters on the back of my heel. The Side walls bt my ankle are also extremely stiff and causes pain when I do very vertical turns and the hard wall pushes against my ankle causing excruciating pain. Other than that everything else is top tier. I had the player 1 plus vefore the player 1.5 and the cushion on them were amazing and I almost think that the player 1 plus woth the new midsole inside of the them are better then the new shoe.
They are really solid I would say yes worth the price!
Great shoes top 1 on my list
I’ve only played one game with this shoe and I think this has potential. I have a flat feet and I decided to pair this with the quick SPO soles. My first impression was that my feet hurt so bad after the game and I had to switch shoes for the rest of the day. This does not mean it was bad, but I think you should consider that this shoe or the soles you maybe using needs to be broken in before playing an actual fast paced game. The tractions was good it really bites, but one problem I had was the I had to keep wiping in a dusty or dirty gym. If I’m only shooting around this would be the perfect time to run around and break it in, I just don’t recommend jumping into a game immediately.
